It's a Lovely Christmas

Some of you might think we are nuts. Some of you might say WHY? And others might say that is cool. The truth is we are ordinary people that love decorating our house for Christmas. When I was a kid I always loved helping my dad put up the Christmas lights. I always remember mom and dad driving us by that special house that had all the lights and how enjoyable it was to see. Sometime between then and now I decided I want to be that special house. Now that I have five grandchildren, I want to make sure they have the special house....

2007 was the first year we did not put up our lights. Instead we went to Disney for Christmas. When we saw the Osborne light show we knew we had to grow our display. In 2008 we added music and a light show to our display. We did a lot of research and checked out a lot of houses both online and in our area. That led us to the purchase of a Light-O-Rama controller. That is when the creative juices started flowing...

You might have noticed our menu has a link labeled Gift of Life. The Gift of Life is probably the single most important and loving thing you can do for someone you have never met. Being an organ donor is being a responsible person. The loss of your life or one of your loved ones lives can save a multitude of people. At any given time the area you live probably has over 5000 people waiting for a transplant. 18 people die every day waiting for a transplant.

In 1998 my wife's first husband died, he was an organ donor. In 2002 my wife was diagnosed with a deadly lung disease, in 2007 she was near death when she received a lung transplant. This transplant that saved her life and changed our families lives forever!!! We never met her donor; we have never met the donors family. The only thing we know is a family lost a loved one and they shared their love with us. And for that single act of love, we hold that family in our hearts forever!
